Hurricane Erin
August 20 – August 21, 2025

The CBBT is currently operating with LEVEL 1 wind restrictions as Hurricane Erin makes her way up the east coast.

This Category 2 hurricane forecast continues to track with a northerly turn. However, Erin is expected to become a larger storm as it moves further north, bringing rain and strong winds.

A Tropical Storm Warning is now in effect for Coastal Virginia and travelers are advised to expect wind restrictions throughout the day on Thursday and continuing into Thursday night.

Please pack smartly and secure all items inside your vehicle.  Any vehicles with exterior cargo or a tow-behind trailer will be subject to travel restrictions at the CBBT once winds reach 40 mph or greater.
